Pursuing State Aid

Since the 2003 moratorium, the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) has developed new regulations and a new process for working with the state to secure funding for school projects.  As part of this new process, Wayland has submitted a Statement of Interest (SOI), participated in a Facilities and Maintenance Assessment, Enrollment Site Visit and Review, and Senior Site Review and has been selected by the MSBA, along with 49 other schools in the state, to perform a Feasibility Study.

Based on the MSBA's regulations, the following steps must be performed prior to beginning the Feasibility Study:

1. Sign Initial Compliance Certification (complete)

2. Form School Building Committee (complete)

3. Complete Enrollment Forecast Questionnaire (complete)

4. Complete Enrollment Projections with MSBA-assigned consultant

5. Procure Owners Project Management based on MSBA guidelines

6. Procure Architect based on MSBA guidelines
