HSBC Update
The High School Building Committee (HSBC) is scheduled to meet on
Thursday, July 8 at 7:00 pm in the School Committee conference room.
The Wayland HIgh School building project is underway. Trailers
for use by the construction team have been positioned on site. Fencing
has been installed to block off the construction area.
Chris Semlies of Shawmut Design and Construction reports the
following construction activities for the week of July 5th:

Selective tree removal beginning on Wednesday, July 7 and continuing
through the end of the week.

Removal of the existing asphalt parking lots beginning on Friday,
July 9. This
material is going to be stripped and processed on site for reuse. This activity will continue daily for
approximately one week.

Construction of the temporary roads and parking areas will begin during
the week of July 12; more information to follow in next week's update.
á
Selective removal of portions of the exterior wood trim and roof
shingles at the field house to verify existing conditions.
Please
note that the main parking lots are closed for the duration of construction.
Visitors are asked to please use the parking lot adjacent to the pool for
access to any high school facilities, including athletic fields and tennis
courts. We apologize for the inconvenience.
