HSBC Construction Update
Week of March 7, 2011
The following is an overview of
construction activities for the coming week:
The site will be open on Saturday 3/5/2011 as
well as Saturday 3/12/2011
Buildings A & B
- Construction activities this week will be similar to last
week, with exterior framing, sheathing and waterproofing as well as
roofing at Building A. Exterior masonry work and interior framing and MEP
rough-in will continue at Building B and masonry will start at Building
A. We plan a concrete placement at Building A on Tuesday.
This work will continue until approximately 9 pm similar to
prior concrete placements. The temporary heating systems at both
Buildings A and B will run continually to support the concrete
slab and masonry work. Windows are being delivered
for Building B on Tuesday.
Wastewater treatment plant - We will
have a crane on site on Tuesday to
set the last remaining underground tank. Access on the
temporary road in this area will be maintained. Please note that, in late March, we will need to shift the temporary road
closer to the Math/English building in order to construct the plant
building itself. More information to follow in future updates.
Fieldhouse - We will continue demolition work at the Fieldhouse throughout the
week. The Fieldhouse will continue
to be off-limits to non-construction personnel throughout the
construction phase. Construction fencing is in place to secure
this work area.
Temporary construction lighting will NOT be shut off at night; the
lights will remain on to deter trespassing and vandalism.
We apologize for any
inconvenience resulting from these activities.
