HSBC Construction Update
Week of 2-14-2011
The following is an
overview of construction activities for the coming week:
The site will be open
on Saturday 2/12/2011 and on 2/19/2011,
weather permitting.
Construction activities
this week will be similar to last week, with exterior framing, sheathing
and waterproofing as well as roofing at Building A. Exterior masonry work
and interior framing and MEP rough-in will continue at Building B
On Tuesday, we
plan to place concrete at the west
portion of the Building A slab on grade, this work will continue until
approx 8 pm similar to prior concrete placements.
Masonry
construction on the east and west sides of
the classroom building will continue
We are mobilizing
the wastewater treatment plant site on Monday 2/14. Snow clearing, grading and fencing installation
will take place starting on Monday. Excavation for the underground
tanks will start later in the week and continue through the following week. The temporary road will not be affected during this phase of work,
although later in March we will need to shift the road closer to the
Math/English building. More information to follow in future updates.
Temporary
construction lighting will NOT be shut off at night; the lights will
remain on to deter trespassing and vandalism.
The temporary heating systems at both
Buildings A and B will run continually to support the
concrete slab and masonry work.
We plan to
start work in the Fieldhouse on Monday 2/28. As of that date, the Fieldhouse
will be off-limits to non-construction personnel. Construction fencing
will be installed to secure this work area.
We apologize
for any inconvenience resulting from these activities.
