Construction Update for the week of 8/16/2010

The following is an overview of upcoming construction activities for the week of 8/16/10 (the attached plan relates to the first two bullets listed below):

. The temporary parking lot near the baseball field and the parking lot next to the pool will be closed on Tuesday 8/24 for line painting.  Please plan on parking in the parking lot near the tennis courts on that day.

. Excavation for the new underground electrical service adjacent to the driveway leading into the school will continue throughout the week.  Please note that on Tuesday 8/17, we will begin to trench across the driveway near the intersection at Old Connecticut Path.  This work will last for three days (weather permitting) and the driveway will remain open for through traffic, although it will be only one lane wide.  To manage traffic, we will have a police detail at this area.

. Throughout the week, concrete foundation construction will continue, much the same as it has for the past few weeks.  Daily concrete placements and ongoing footing excavation and backfill can be expected.

. Soils continue to be trucked to/from the gravel pit adjacent to the lacrosse field, so please be aware of truck traffic in that area.  Everyone should keep in mind that the gravel pit area is off limits to non-construction personnel.  We have posted 'no trespassing' signs.
