Design

http://www.waylandschoolcommittee.org/whs/hsbc/FAQ_Site/Design.html

What is the expected life of the school?

Will there be a problem with snow loads on the flat roofs?

Could the auditorium be built large enough to accommodate the entire student body?

Enrollment

http://www.waylandschoolcommittee.org/whs/hsbc/FAQ_Site/Enrollment.html

There were once 1300 students at the high school.  What if enrollment grows?  Is the building expandable?

State Aid

http://www.waylandschoolcommittee.org/whs/hsbc/FAQ_Site/State_Aid.html

How much is the state committed to giving Wayland the grant?  Will they withdraw some of the money?

What if bids come in lower than we expect?  Did the state commit to the $25 million or to 40%?

Is the state funding contingent on our schedule?  What happens if there are delays in permitting, for example for the wastewater treatment plant?

Finances

http://www.waylandschoolcommittee.org/whs/hsbc/FAQ_Site/Finances.html

Do the Finance CommitteeŐs figures include the CPA surcharge?

Will there be additional operating costs for the new building that will require future overrides?

Is it expected that the entire contingency will be needed?

How much have we spent on the project to date?

The Vote

http://www.waylandschoolcommittee.org/whs/hsbc/FAQ_Site/The_Vote.html

What will happen if the vote does not pass?

Why canŐt the amount in the warrant article be reduced by the grant amount?

If the warrant article passes will the town be able to execute the MSBA agreement?

Construction

http://www.waylandschoolcommittee.org/whs/hsbc/FAQ_Site/Construction.html

Have you considered how to structure our contracts so as to avoid a Public Safety Building situation?

Will the Field House be closed for a winter season during its renovation, or longer?

With parking limited during construction, what will happen with the buses?
