2010-06-14: School Committee opening The Wayland School Committee seeks interested community members to fill an open seat on the committee. Any Wayland resident of legal voting age interested in applying is asked to make his/her intention known to Diane Marobella, Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent, at 508-358-3763 prior to the close of business on June 18, 2010. Individuals may also choose to submit a letter of interest with an accompanying resume. The term of service will be approximately ten months until the next town election in April 2011. The School Committee and Board of Selectmen are charged with finding a replacement who will serve until the next election and who may choose at that time to run for the remaining one year term for this seat or for either of the other two three-year term School Committee seats that will also be open at that time. Interested individuals should be available to be interviewed by the School Committee and the Board of Selectmen on June 21, beginning at 7:00pm in the School Committee Hearing Room on the 2nd floor of the Town Building. Individuals with questions are encouraged to call any of the current School Committee members. Contact information is available on the Committee's home page at the address below.
