2009-05-20: Suggest School Committee "Retreat" topics
This June, the School Committee plans to hold a "Retreat" that will provide the Committee with an opportunity to step back from its regular matters and consider higher level issues facing the district. This discussion will help to inform our administrators as they develop goals for the short and long term. The June 15 meeting, beginning at 6pm with a (self-funded) light dinner for the Committee, will be open to the public.

To help ensure that we appropriately consider topics important to Wayland residents, we ask for your input. Please send suggested topics to the Committee at info @ waylandschoolcommittee.org.

While the Committee has not yet finalized its agenda for the evening, it will likely go as follows.
  • 30-minute public comment period
  • Regular business
  • Retreat discussion
  • Closing 15-minute public comment period
Please be advised that the meeting will be a working meeting of the Committee. Community input will take place during the initial and closing comment periods.

We welcome other questions and suggestions to promote transparency, support community input, and generate accurate information to the community.

Thank you for your attention,
Wayland School Committee

The Committee welcomes community input by phone, email, letter,
