2007-01-02: Summary of charges for Long Range Strategic Planning "Goal Teams"
The Committee welcomes community input by phone,
email, letter,
and attendance at public meetings and forums
(schedule).
As part of the School Committee’s strategic long range planning process,
the Committee developed charges for the four goal teams it is in the process of establishing.
A summary of these charges include:
- The Strategic Planning, Goals, and Priorities Goal Team will work with the existing draft Strategic Plan presented
on November 20, 2006 and make specific recommendations regarding the goals and priorities set forth in this document.
This goal team will also recommend a process by which on-going strategic planning is incorporated by the district.
- The Measures Relative to Mission Goal Team will recommend a slate of measures to be reported on each year by the
Wayland Public Schools. These measures will describe the system and its explicit or implicit progress towards
delivering on its existing mission statement. This goal team will work with the Administrative Council to insure
that the goal team's work is consistent with the Administrative Council's work on evolving the district's mission.
- The Alternate Funding Sources Goal Team will study and then make specific recommendations regarding the development
of additional and alternative funding sources for the Wayland Public Schools.
- The Community Support Goal Team will recommend a strategic communications plan in order to enhance community support
for the Wayland Public Schools.
