The Wayland School Committee is pleased to announce the first meeting of the High School Study Committee (HSSC).

The charge to the ad hoc committee is to investigate various aspects of the past, present, and future high school:
educational needs, building history, enrollment trends, design paths, financing options, and the like.
Committee chair Lea Anderson expands on this charge,
"I am eager to continue planning for the needed high school improvements.
We will use the time between now and October to study issues of importance to the project
and to prepare for a possible Special Town Meeting, where the School Committee would request
funding for the next phase of the project, schematic design. There has been an outpouring of
volunteers to work on the different elements of the project--the June 17 meeting will in part
establish sub-committees to address the important issues."
